(Arranged by date:) Scroll down if you dare . . . Note: adult content alert -- most of the limericks are about persons or persons who continuously boast about winning the 2016, 2020 and 2024 presidential elections by BIG BIG bigly margins, landslides even, despite the certified available data. (Notes:) The limericks written between 2016 and 2020 were composed before I saw Sean Lock reading his "Gritty Limericks" on Countdown Does 8 Out Of 10 Cats (approx. 2023). Sean's limericks were brilliant, funny, thought provoking in his very odd way describing the world! I was immediately impressed with his view of the purpose of limerick poetry. Very possibly we accidentally (re)discovered the genre separately. I took to heart Sean's suggestion that limericks have a history and thus, a mandate related to political, social, and civic commentary. (Alerts, etc.:) Readers beware! Limericks are generally naughty, use words considered by some people to be uncivil, foul, provocative, crude, and lewd. Gritty limericks, as Sean Lock described them, make fun of public figures for presenting as flawed, often greedy and power hungry. With humor we mock the corruption of state officials and criminal behavior of public figures. So what you're about to read is full of sarcasm, irony, farce, mockery and absurdity meant solely to be funny, nothing else. Finally, realizing that The Donald, a media character presented as Donald J. Trump, represented a class of rich privileged white amoral males, now commonly labeled the Epstein Class, I created a persona-avatar I call Spanky, a misfit clown and pompous burlesque sleazy hypocrite.
